ex military defender 110 soft top 200tdi in Redruth, Cornwall for sale
I have owned this truck for a year, I am selling it as I have bought a double cab Hilux, a bit more family orientated. The guy I bought it from was a landrover fanatic and had bought the ex military landy and turned it into an up to date 110 defender, he put in the 200TDI, the power steering, the correct transfer box for the engine, it will actually do motorway speeds comfortably, the axles are defender axles, better than the standard ex military, he fitted a diesel blow heater so its warm in the winter, I have done many an early morning school run and its ideal! The chassis has never been wax oiled, there is no rust, the chap didnt believe in it, he said it hid the rust, and pressure washed it every week, and that paid off, so I did the same, so nothing to hide! Mileage is listed at 118000 the re con 200 tdi was fitted around 70000 miles ago The only thing I have done since owning, other than servicing, is have some zips sown into the canvas, to allow entry into the back more easily, and you can zip off the whole rear end, leaving just the cab covered, which is similar to a bikini top type thing, ideal in the summer, keeps you in the shade with the affect of a soft top. I also added a stereo, but thats not coming with it, the wiring and speakers will. There is everything for the tow bar, except the ball hitch itself, the electrics are located in the rear of the truck, as to avoid dirt getting in the plug and damage. I have a set of proper land rover wheels too for it, the really off road ones, almost tractor like, but not at all good for the road, these are an additonal £150 for 4. I spent a long time looking for a 110 soft top, with a 200tdi and power steering and this really is the very best out there, several Landrover guys have looked it over and all say is as good as factory fitted, if I decide in the future to go back to a landy I will never find another like this one.
